2010 Trunk or Treat!

On Saturday, Oct. 30, First Reformed Church is hosting its second annual “Trunk or Treat”. To shake things up a bit, and provide a safe place for trick or treating, we are inviting children from the church and the community to come do their “trick or treating” in OUR church parking lot. Only, this time, they won’t be traveling between houses or apartments; instead, they’ll be traveling between TRUNKS.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
As a volunteer you can choose to help make “TRUNK OR TREAT” happen in a variety of ways. First, if you have a vehicle, you can offer your “trunk” for use in the event. Next, you can donate treats to the participating groups so they will have enough to go around! Finally, sign-up as a participant and start planning out how you’re going to DECORATE YOUR TRUNK!!
Saturday October 30: TRUNK OR TREAT SCHEDULE 2:00 – 5:00 P.M.
2:00 – 3:00 TRUNK SET-UP
3:00 – 5:00 TRUNK OR TREAT
5:00 – ?? Clean-up
Rules and Registration for Trunk or Treat
V Each trunk must have a team leader and an adult with an available vehicular trunk or trunkbed for the duration of the Trunk or Treat event.
V ALL persons interested in participating must sign-up individually or with a team by October 15th.
V ALL trunks must follow and be approved for this year’s Trunk or Treat theme
“AMAZING BIBLE STORIES”
V Each trunk must have treats available to hand out to our community.
HINTS
V Use your Bible and your creativity!
V Use your vehicles and various props and tell the story enthusiastically!
V For those not so creative, we do have ideas available for you to choose from.
V Coordinate your trunk with decorations, costumes, games and treats.
V Ideas should be Religious/Christian, we don’t want any scary or inappropriate trunks.
